Finally turned this idea into a visual. Attempted to color it with color pencils after what seemed like years because color pencils scare me. They are so unpredictable, raw and waxy…I don't even know if I'm making any sense now. Anyway it turned out fine so I guess I'll be using color pencils more often.
What truly scares me now is the thought of having similar ideas/illustration style with somebody else, knowing how this cyber world we call the internet connects us all together with just a simple click of a button. I do understand that no two minds are completely alike, but there are times where ideas can be so similar it becomes doubtful. Also I realize many instagramers share similar ideas and illustration styles of late, it makes me wonder if they even know about it themselves, or worse they copied but pretended to be original. I don't know, I shouldn't even care but after noticing, every little bit of these had turned me into a lil cautious spider.
Be different, observe and take note of what has been done and be. different.
